Space limitations

I've received several emails from users, complaining about the 70mb limit for bithub accounts. I know, that nowadays 70 mb of space isn't much, actually pretty tiny. But you always have to consider, that bithub is a non-profit webservice and space and traffic costs alot of money. So I decided to start with a smaller space limit and then increase those figures in the future. Nontheless, you have to consider, that we are not interested in analysing and selling your data and user statistics as other profit orientated websites might do. Last but not least, you need to consider, which types of documents need to be synced, because they might change regulary. Those files are typically documents like word, excel or code files and don't alot of space. Maybe we will find a sponsor in the future to extend the current limits. Hopefully, you do understand this situation and enjoy using bithub as much as I enjoyed programming it.

Cached Tweets for your site

I just finished a script for fetching Twitter updates. This script relies on memcache for storing your tweets to improve speed and minimize API requests to the Twitter servers. The script is fairly easy and imho a good example for using memcache. The script will be used for the new bithub.net redesign, which will be finished sometime this week.

You can download the script here: http://tinyurl.com/9ovx8a

Feedback is much appreciated!
